Dr Stephen Ting
Dr Stephen Ting is a Haematology physician scientist. He obtained his medical degree from Monash University and completed his PhD in Developmental Biology at the Bone Marrow Research Laboratories, Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne University. His post-doctoral training was performed at Hospital Cochin, Paris, France studying Polycythemia Vera and Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer, University of Montreal, Canada understanding HSC biology. He is currently a consultant within the Department of Clinical Haematology, Alfred Health and an NHMRC RD Wright Career Development Fellow leading a Stem Cell research group in the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University. His clinical interests are Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and his science research investigates the properties of haematopoietic and leukemia stem cells. Throughout his clinical and research education he has received numerous awards, fellowships and primary investigator grants.
